Another perfect spring day yesterday, and another for today.

The cold temps last week did not harm my garden, so there is that bonus. [B-o]

32C with a 39C humidex... risk of a thunderstorm.

Just came back from a long walk...had to take an ice-cream cup with a chocolate hazelnut dip break. :D

I just checked and yesterday we reached a high (as measured at YVR) of 22.6C. A rather pleasant May day.

I couldn't believe the people I heard complaining "It's too hot".

It was perfectly sunny and warm the last two days here.

Today however, overcast but not too mild....until a few minutes ago when a lone bolt of lightning flashed followed by an angry clap of thunder that made everyone jump (including my poor terrified dog).

Looking to hit 28 today!

Cooler on the weekend, but that is fine. Last couple days have been picture perfect.

Hooee! That was a storm! There was a thunderclap so loud last night it yanked me out of bed. At the same time, power went out. But, the streetlights were still on. And my fridge was running. [huh]

It only popped the breaker to the power in my bedroom. 8O Don't know if it bypassed my over voltage filter or just caused some overload in the breaker, but I'm glad I changed all the breakers a few years ago to GFCI ones.

Tornadoes touch down in southern Alberta, as floods and tennis ball-sized hail hit Calgary

It takes ~3 hours to drive from Calgary to Edmonton - city limit to city limit. It took this storm an hour.

Having our mid-to-late afternoon thunderstorm for about the eight day in a row. Would be fucking cool if climate change was turning Calgary and southern Alberta into England with a reliable daily rain. 8)

That's always how our weather has been. Sunny day, thunderstorm for dinner, nice quiet evening.

That's what we are expecting today. High near 28. Probability of an evening thunderstorm, 99.999%.

And I can hear the Goldfinch in the tree outside chatting up quite a storm. :)

Another beautiful summer morning. Supposed to be a rainy afternoon, but we hit 27.9 yesterday and the evening thunderstorm blew so much tree sperm around I thought it was snowing for a minute. ;)

But mid 20's and sunny for the rest of the week. 8)
