Yes, the hell-cold finally broke. Now we dance as the joy comes up from our sphincters and explodes from our faces! [cheer]

I think that is the part I like best living here. Surviving the cold snaps.

The last 7 days has been almost 3rd world conditions in the Caleb house. You city dwellers have no idea how spoiled you are with your fancy plumbing.

I'd do that over a port-a-potty in 39 degree heat on a 45 degree-in-the-sun racetrack.

Actually, a port-a-potty seems like a good idea, considering the hell I just went through with bedpans and my septic system.

Either way it's awful. Pure nightmare fuel that never goes away.

I look at it this way; Looking at the slums of Africa or India - if those people can live without running water and plumbing, and still look clean and smell fresh - then I can endure for a week or two per year.

You excited to explain the jet stream weakening and Rossby waves after the shit in Texas?

We did that 10 years ago. They still didn't learn. I don't feel like wasting my time.

+11 now, all in the double digit plusses till at least the weekend.

And with all the snow melted, it has revealed all my neighbours who still have those annoying inflatable Christmas decorations still on their lawn.

We just came out of the only cold snap we've had all winter. Should be in the "pluses" starting tomorrow.

I'm going to go out for a drive to see all the road signs they put up after the February windstorm, to see how many blew down yesterday. 8O -9, and gusty to 80! It's amazing to see the 6" square beams, of the 3/8" steel supports snapped like twigs. If they do manage to get supports big enough to survive, the signs themselves usually snap.

That said, today is nice and sunny, but cool. Tomorrow, 14 degrees and lovely!
