Well, here goes, I have alot of aquaintances from USA.. and should i dare mention anything to do with Canada or the metric system... the jokes come... "USA's hat" ha ha... "when did u get internet" ha ha "Canada is our 52nd state".. and me being a proud Canadian i shoot em down with facts... for example...that New York city is partially powered by Ontarios and Quebecs electric hydro plants.. that Canada has participated in more UN deployments than USA itself.. that when USA tried to invade Canada.. Canada not only defended itself, but it went all the way to Washington and burned down the white house.. and that our small population of 30 million people have managed to walk through the recession without too much damage AND our dollar is above theirs..... most of our electricity is clean, we are a happyer bunch of people .. and shopping for houses in USA feels like your walking through a dollar store and etc.. etc.. i could go on forever..... but they continue with the condesending remarks .. as if their trying to... tame me ?...are all Canadians supposed to be good little pets to USA ? am i supposed to praise usa every freaking time ? just to keep their egos stroked ?.. i tried going against em..... trust me.. Quebec's anti-US mentality gives me enough facts and info to put any american through the bedrock... but it never ends.. so... how do i talk to an American without having to hear a mocking "hows your igloo... eh?"

Next time they ask you how your igloo is, you tell them it's "Safe from Bank of America."

And for general use, you can always tell them that Canada is bigger than the US and we're on top. If Canada and the US were cell mates, they'd be our bitch.

Canada didn't fight in the War of 1812, largely because Canada didn't exist during the War of 1812. The USA invaded the British Empire and British troops burned down Washington (only to be God-smacked the next day by a Hurricane). Stop taking credit for the British.

Try not living your life as if your auditioning for a Molson commercial. All Canadians should be proud to be Canadian, but you must realize that being Canadian means more than not being American. There are over 6 billion people who are not American, so it's not that exceptional.

What I find to be pathetic and limp-d1cked are Canadians who are not so proud of being Canadian as they are proud of being anti-American. Exactly how does that make your life any kind of contribution to your fellow Canadians?
