A $100.00 (one hundred) finders fee to the person who finds an Antique Enbalming Kit provided that is the one I purchase. *** Must be in very good/excellent condition.*** In the event that more than one person points me to the same item, the first one to do so will be paid the $100.00.
I managed to find one on ebay, apparently it is in Florida, but I cannot find it now. This one also qualifies. Actually, it is the one that I want!
Some of the 'search words' that I used were, Antique enbalming kit funeral supplies, mortuary supplies, mortician, enbalming, medical, autopsy.
I will post a pic of one quite similar to what I am looking for. This one though is, in my opinion, in 'poor condition'.

Bonus if it's the one Dr Frankenstein used!

Here is the other part of the kit. Again, it is in poor condition and not acceptable as this is to be a gift, but it gives you an idea of what I'm looking for.

/backs away slowly . . .not making eye contact . . .
I must say, this is a wholly 'unique' gift request.

I might be able to find you something, my grandfather was a forensic pathologist, but why are you giving this as a gift?

I must say, this is a wholly 'unique' gift request. I really expected this kind of reaction! I'll explain and then it may not appear quite so strange. My daughter will be graduating from Mortuary Sciences as a Licenced Funeral Director, this spring. She has worked very hard for this and is in the top 3 % of Canada. To say that " I am proud of her" would be an understatement! She does have the 'required' quirky sense of humor for this type of work, so I know she will appreciate such a graduation gift. No different I suppose than a land surveyor with an antique transit or an architect with an antique drafting table..

I should change the name of the thread to
"I want to play a game..."

That thing looks that creepy. I never 'saw' any of those movies! I don't find it 'creepy' so much as amusing. To listen to a 'diminutive little blond' discussing quite frankly how 'she uses' such equipment!

It takes a special kind of person to care for other people's loved ones like that. And equally special to have the 'dark' sense of humour needed.

I have fun with my SiL. He is a wee bit squeamish on the subject so every now and then I sidle up to him and in a low voice ask " Has 'she' asked you to 'go take an ice-cold bath, and then get into bed and close your eyes, and lie real, real still..."
