In the rules it mentions not advertising (not just corporate stuff), including other forums.

We (the community, I do not speak for the admins) generally don't approve of people joining CKA just to promote stuff.

I can't predict the future...but at least I am not "spamming" your forum. I may be simply trying to self promote but it doesn't mean I would be a part of your community in the future. Can't convince you to change you "vote" either but you should I'm fairly likeable

I did take time...however it up to interpretation in a way. It does not explicitly say no links however "Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, enlistment or solicitations without the consent of CKA Administration are not permitted and will be removed, and membership may be suspended." say about solicitation. I am soliciting, however in a good way where I am simply trying to share. My site is clearly not about CPA offers, or advertising. I am in the Canadian Navy myself and I just wanted to get the word around. I am pretty used to people being anal about stuff (read above...I am in the Navy) so if someone in power wants to remove this the go right ahead...but it's not like I am trying to steal users from this site....it is just another place to look at and it could be fun. Cheers.

Don't take it personally. It's a broad rule.

The basic idea is that new members should not be telling us to go places.

I don't think I have ever seen it go well, no matter what site they advertised or what their cause was.

If you are associating being anal with being in the RCN, then you need to grow up... pronto.

Lots of sailors in this community and I doubt many are impressed with an immature statement such as that.
