It's kinda odd to dress up as another race on a day where everyone dresses up as something scary and monstrous.

You uh, haven't been to many Hallowe'en costume parties have ya.

I have. I've seen the 'Muslim' and 'Asian' costumes shown above several times.

Actually, I wasn't referring to the racial costumes. I meant the scary or monstrous costumes. Why do they have to be scary or monstrous?
Be imaginative. One year, my buddies and I bought white wet suits, attached some tails and went as sperms. Had a buddy with red hair that rolled himself up in white linen and went as a used tampon.
Hell, even if yer broke you can smear some peanut butter around your lips and go as an asshole

I remember one costume years ago where I used a military glow stick contents smeared on my head, face and hands. When the inevitable question was asked, what are you supposed to be? I told everyone that I was a firefighter from Chernobyl!

Lmfao the idea behind Halloween was to dress up as demons and mock them, is it not? I know there are 'other' costumes but they are usually something silly (like the used tampon) or grotesque, to make fun of those things.

And then there are the girls in tinkerbell and playboy bunny costumes; the scariest of all costumes.

I know you don't have to be scary, it's just odd to me when people aren't. That's the point of the holiday It's all about fear!

How's this for an original and cheap costume...

A few years ago I opened my door to a young girl (about 10 or so) who was wearing striped pyjamas.

I asked "And who are you supposed to be?"

She said "Martha Stewart" (this was when she was in jail)

bet it was her mom's idea.

I heard about these three teenagers who took a door. They put a note on the door that says "Knock please." and went and trick or treated. People would open their front door to see another door. When they knocked the teenagers opened the door, all dressed like old grandmothers, and said "Aw, what cute costumes!" and gave the home owners candy before shutting the door and leaving.

It ceased to be all about fear the moment little kids started going door to door "mooching"
