I guess I'm getting old. I found Yogi's three exclamation points exciting enough.

So you've seen both, then? I know I know, you have to keep abreast of developments so they don't cum as a surprise to you.

The link I posted is only one example of what is passing for 'entertainment' these days.
Does this really 'speak to the maturity' of society in general? Seems that producers are manufacturing shows out of damn near anything, labelling it 'reality tv', and flogging it. Or all we see now are animations, both on tv & theatre. Zombies & vampire schlock. The sad part is that peeps are buying into it.

Really. When was the last time a network or a studio launched a worthwhile show or movie? Where the hell are the Western genre series? Cop shows. Nyet!
I must be getting 'old' too!

I fully agree with you, Yogi. Shows the decline of our anything for a buck civilization.

The responses are enough for me to protect my stomach and not want to watch your link.

I must say that I do like The Good Wife and The Firm.
Reality tv is something I try to avoid. I like the American Idol early shows tho. The moment they go to Hollywood is kinda the end for me tho

I agree with you! They started 'The Bridge', which I thought was excellent. And shut it down when it was getting good. Just like 'Defying Gravity', 'Stargate Atlantis' and 'Firefly'.

If it's not 'reality' TV, it gets the axe. And then this BS is on instead.

Proof of our declining society... look at all those that went down before us. As the end came near, "entertainment" became more and more decadent... dumbed-down may be another way of saying it, appealing more to the baser instincts. :(
