All of these character-driven cop shows remind me how much I like
procedurals, where the show is about how investigation and prosecution work rather than how good the author is at making up gritty or wacky characters. That's the part that fascinates me: how society defines and defends justice.
I added them to my list anyway. The Bills has 2,400 episodes?! That's nuts.

Law & Order: The Complete Series. 104 DVDs (!) for $451. $4.34 per disc, 97¢ per episode. That is both amazingly cheap and shockingly expensive at the same time. *dreams*
