The Liberals tried to keep Quebec in Canada by giving them more government contracts and more recognition so they can feel that they are part of a great country.

The Liberals just lost track of what was the right way to do it.

The Conservative party did not like they way the Liberals were handling this affair and they requested an investigation and hearings followed and they labeled the Liberal party as dishonest and went to form the new minority government.

In the meantime the Liberal party had a leadership race and elected a great new leader, they also cleaned house and they put together a dream team to tell all Canadians that they are ready to take charge and form the new government in Canada.

The Conservatives had their chance to make positive change and they bungled it and they are trying to get a majority.

The Conservative government mistake is that they acted like a majority government but with only 33% of the vote.

They also showed what it would be like to live under a majority Conservative government and a lot of Canadians do not like it.

And their biggest mistake is that they never bothered to form a provincial Conservative party in Quebec.

The people of Quebec will be voting for a former leader of the Progressive Conservative party who is the leader of the current Quebec Liberal party.

Which means that most of the people in Quebec will vote Liberal in the next federal election.

When the Liberals form the new government of Canada Harper can relax and help plan the Conservative leadership race.

All I am saying is that the Liberals will win the next federal election because of Harper’s incompetence.

In fairness I would not call him incompetent. Manipulative, sneaky, underhanded, unwilling to clearly answer questions yes, but he has been very competent in his tactics for his and his parties benefit. Unfortunately these aims are not for Canadians but for power. This is what Canadians will eventually grow tired of.

personally I'd be happy with another conservative minority.

Let the liberals have some more time to chew on what they did wrong and improve the way they do things and come up with some good ideas.

I'm not a fan of conservative viewpoints but the conservative party while in a minority and forced to chew it out and listen to others has done a good job.

Let's leave things the way they are for a while longer.

As a typical neocon, I understand many of problems our young friend Evade suffers from. Paranoia, dementia, hemoroids, slight mental retardation are only some of the predicament facing young neocons these days. I am here for you anytime you need a good cry. You are not worthy of our leaders' (the leader is good, the leader is great) mushroomy head of beautiful frosted grey hair. [BF]

I have voted Liberal and NDP in the past, However, I will never vote for a liberal or NDP party that supports gun confiscation.

A party's stand on gun confiscation shows how they veiw good hard working law abiding Canadians............as a productive and trustworthy citizen, or part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of

Those are not my words, but I am totally content to echo them.
