It's been made clear to all of us that his through his unwavering support for our neighbour to the South and his disdain for anything Canadian because of his blind political biases, martin14 is well deserving of the Anti-Canuck medal.

I'm not sure I get how disapproving of the current regime or the way it's mismanaging policy is the same thing as hating Canada.

If I understand Martin correctly he thinks Chrystia Freeland is ridiculous, PM Milk Money is a step below useless in these NAFTA negotiations and Trump is making us his bitch.

Personally I don't think that makes him a bad Canadian. A smart one, maybe.

I'm not sure if I want to participate on this one. But the constant in-fighting among Canadians, based on nothing more than our own stupid internal political divisions, while an open and completely obvious economic war has been declared on us by the Trump regime is more than disturbing. If there was ever a time for national unity then this is it because what the Americans are doing to us right now is no morally or ethically different than if the Germans had landed a panzer army on the shores of the St Lawrence in 1941.

Justin Trudeau is not an effective leader and is certainly not the one we need at this particular moment. But that is irrelevant because even the toughest Canadian leader would still be in Trump's crosshairs right now as much as Trudeau is. As with all things related to the Trump catastrophe there is no middle ground to be had. You're either with us, with your own country, or you're with the enemy.

How is it Mexico can make a deal with Trump, but the Bumbletards that somebody who wasn't me voted in to represent Canada in negotiations can't?

Not relevant to this thread.

Really? Is it only your Trump disses above that are relevant to what's "Anti-Canuck" then?

Because I say one can be dissatisfied with the outright incompetence our representatives are displaying in these negotiations and still be a good Canadian.

This "anti-Canuck" award is what's irrelevant here. Perhaps you could suggest creating some sort of "Doesn't hate Trump enough" award or something.

Huge damn difference between saying your own leader sucks and implicitly hoping the other side wins because you think his chaotic antics are funny.

While I don't really like or get along with Martin, I don't think he's anti-Canuck specifically. He has his own ideas of what would make Canada a good place, and while many here don't agree with him, that doesn't necessarily make him anti-Canuck.

Now if you were to nominate him for the Flamer or Annoying medal, you might get support for it, as he is both IMHO.

Personally, I don't really like the negative medals and prefer to support positive nominations for those who contribute to CKA.

Given the number of "negative" medal requests that are being bandied about on here makes me wonder if these aren't an attempt to stifle opposing opinions through a subtle form of intimidation? I may not agree with people but that doesn't negate their right to have an opposing opinion and share it.

People seem to have forgotten but, if a person's opinions are pissing them off they have alternatives to public shaming to resolving their issues with them.

Try the ignore button, file complaints with the moderators (if warranted and an opposing opinion isn't one of them) or just let them rant and carry on with your own life.

I've been a member on here for over a decade and I've seen alot of people come and go (Just look at the membership list and compare it to the active posters) and one of the biggest reasons people say they leave is because they feel that it becomes to bothersome to deal with the continual insults, innuendo's and personal attacks.

So, I don't know about the rest of the posters on here but to me attempting to force "negative" medals on people who don't agree with or follow your political views or opinions is just another form of a personal attack and if antics like this continue I'll guarantee this forum will become emptier than a bottomless bucket in the Mohave Desert.

Are you allowed to notice your guys are getting their asses handed to them by their guys though.

I just don't get how ignoring reality makes you a better Canadian.

All Martin did was speak the truth regarding that inept bunch on the negotiating team. Those clowns could not negotiate a piss up at a brewery.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that a fair deal for Canada will be reached.

This has nothing to do with stifling opinions.

The reputation tool has been used on this site to stifle opinions and is still widely used by some to do just that.

My intention was not to stifle anyone. He seems quite proud of his anti-Canada stance which is why the medal is deserved.
