I'm gonna venture a guess at being either accessories to murder(although I highly doubt it) or having Naval ships be named after them(I highly doubt that too)...

I thought it might have to do with something religious.

The only thing I can think of right now is that they are all recipients of foreign military (and civilian) medals and awards. For instance, both Patton and Eisenhower recieved the French Legion of Honour and are members of the British Order of the Bath.

Yep. Sounds like that is it. Bradley got the British Order of the Bath as well. As did Nimitz. Good work xerxes.

Supposedly it prohibits nobel orders. Didn't know that.

I'm not exactly sure. I know that it's against American law to be a recipient of a foreign medal or commendation, but I'm not sure if that's in the constitution.

I'm wondering if it would be the Knighthood (Honourary) part of the OBE. Americans can be awarded foreign medals and decorations, but I'm not sure about titles (like the Knighthood).

I'm assuming this, since Canadians can be awarded medals and decorations, but cannot recieve titles without permission of the government (which they don't since adopting the Nickel Resolution).

So, what's the answer? :?:
