A group of costume YouTube people started working on doing historical WWII knitting and other things. Anyway one of them did a ton of research so after making the vest did a video on history of knitting for the war. It’s mostly a North American view with interesting points. Apparently Emily Post actually did a proper etiquette for knitting in public as well as knitting spies.
