I came across this trailer for Passenchdaele, the film that Paul Gross is doing.

As I understand it, it was suppose to be out last Remembrance Day, but is now being released THIS November.

Wow, that looks awesome! I visited the battlefield in the summer of 2005. I'm glad someone is making a movie about it..

Question - why is there snippets of Legands of the Fall? I'm sure Brad Pitt is not in the movie (unless it's someone looking exactly like him)

I'm pretty sure it's an actor who looks like him.

I've been trying to find a cast list but not very successful in that department yet. There's absolutely nothing about it on imdb.

Then they also found someone who looks identical to Henry Thomas!! I also saw someone who looks just like Julia Ormond in the little picture

Yes, Vimy should be made into a movie. There are so many stories to be told from WW1, that it would make the Canadian film industry busy and prosper for a long time...

While the trailer is soooo cheesy, the movie itself looks totally wicked. Sorta like a Canadian version of Saving Private Ryan meets Gallipoli...
