Some Aboriginal People believe that his demise is devine intervention because of his attitude towards aboriginal people roughly a decade ago. He basically ordered his "then" newspaper empire to not print anything positive about aboriginal issues or anything positive related to the Nisga'a treaty. He probably didn't even have the faintest idea on the issues, or, based his knowledge on graffitti. Oh well! Now look at the situation he is in.

I still believe this guy is getting what he deserves by what he did with his newspaper empire. He really did order all his "then" papers to not publish anything positive whatsover on aboriginal issues. Now look at what is happening to him. One day, Sheperdsdog, ridenrain, mustang, harper, flanagan, you'll get kicked in your arse hard for your views--believe me and thats devine intervention or as a friend sometimes says--the pied piper has come calling...and black's piper really came calling

Yeah the whole chain thru the Nechako/Bulkley Valley was pissed off. I stopped contributing to the local rag and one of the reporters I knew quit over that.
If you own ALL the papers in a rural area, and order that NONE can print anything positive about a major event for that area, then how can you NOT be offended. It's one of the greatest little-known acts of censorship and outright political interference in Canada.
