Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I'm sorta wondering. What's the difference between Curling and Round Robin? Educate me.

Curling is a sport. Round robin is a tournament style that consists of every team playing every other team at least once.

In other words the Olympics used a round robin system for its curling format to determine placement before playing elimination games.

So... Then why are there both Curling and Round Robin, as if it's separate and independent of each other?

They are using the term round robin to describe the curling games. Where do you see them referring to round robin as a separate sport to curling?

Oh well...the mens' pursuit locked a medal. So with the medal lock in men's and women's curling we've actually tied the Norse in medal count for third. If the Canadian men lock a medal today in hockey, we pass them.

Edit

No wait, the Norwegian men curlers locked a medal, so we're still looking at a tie. We need one more.

Bernard settles for silver in women's curling

Image

$1:
Canada's Cheryl Bernard ran out of her extra-end magic in the women's curling gold medal final on Friday.

Bernard gave up a steal of one in the extra frame and dropped a 7-6 decision to defending Olympic champion Anette Norberg of Sweden.

Norberg forced the extra end with a deuce in the 10th and Canada couldn't capitalize with last rock.

Bernard was left with a double take-out on her last shot but left one Swedish rock in the four-foot for the steal.

Bernard won three round robin games in an extra end and had used last rock to her advantage all week long.

Holy crap, that was the weirdest race I've seen in these olympics, Hamelin crossed the finish line with his butt.
