Ya this is why I dont give a shit about the Olympics; it's all just political posturing set to the backdrop of international sport.

While I agree that decorum dictates that the correct flag and anthem should be displayed with the correct team the childish smart ass part of me can't help being amused at this particular incident.

If it irked His Excellency The Dear Leader Kim Jong Un and ruined his morning cup of coffee it would make mine.

Apologize and give them 15 minutes to get back on the field...
...if not, forfeit the match.

The organizers missed a chance to show who's boss at these games.

These are the same people who while letting the North Koreans pretty much dictate terms of when they're gonna play, refused to hold a moment off silence to remember the Israeli atheletes butchered 40 years ago at the Munich Games.

The IOC is nothing more than Sports version of the UN.

Did you honestly expect any different from such a useless organization? Can't risk offending the dozen or so Muslim athletes attending the games.

The organisation of the front-line UK olympics leadership is looking pretty pathetic. Strikes, security, the wrong flags. Bad, bad, bad.

The radio here this morning reported that one of the US skeet shooters, Kim Rhode, was briefly detained upon arrival in the UK for possession of her shotguns which she needs for the skeet shooting events. Seems it didn't matter that her paperwork was all in order they still had to needlessly f*ck with her anyway for having the shotguns.

Since Kim had the highest qualifying score, and the UK has a competitor in this event, I'd say... all's fair in love and skeeting.

Pissing off armed Americans never ends well. Look for Kim to win gold.
