Im a poor car clueless woman, and Im hoping someone can give me a heads up on what exactly I potentially broke on my car... I was backing up into my driveway in my 94 LHS and I heard a snap. My drivers side tire will not turn, but my passenger side tire will when I turn the steering wheel.
What did I break?
Thanks in advance.

I take it by "turn" you mean side to side and not "rotate"? If so and one tire turns and one doesnt it sounds like youve snapped a tie rod
One way to check is to grab the tire that WONT turn by both sides and see if you can get it to turn manually.
If its ROTATE well thats a whole other can of worms

what do you mean by rotate? by turn I mean if you turn the steering wheel... the tire turns accordingly... By rotate to you mean... spin? and if so... it it doesn't do that .. then what is it?

By "rotate" he means "spin". Sounds like the tie rod. Very dangerous if it happens while traveling at highway speeds! Happened to a buddy of mine in his old Cordoba.

Depends on how reliable it is. A old reliable vehicle is better than a new lemon. Better the devil you know.

To let you all firm believers in my old reliable car that if it dies I'm utterlly screwed, the main bolt on the drivers side inner tie rod came undone and it was the thunk sound I heard when I pulled in to my driveway. We put the bolt back in and voila the car works again!

you better get that thing aligned or you will still be screwed...
