Polls opened at 9:30 am and will remain open till 9:30 pm.
In Ontario you are allowed up to three hours paid company time to go vote.
Today is my day off.

Polls in Bc were supposed to have opened at 7 AM local time, according to CBC

And voters on the West Coast in the Pacific time zone can start voting at 7 a.m. and will find polls open until 7 p.m.

I guess the polls opening 1&1/2 hours earlier then Ontario is the gov'ts way of trying to lessen the effect of BC voting after the election has already been decided. A sensible compromise and exactly the type of thing that a gov't gets right but no-one notices.

I thought federal law said you were to have four hours to vote. If the polls are open 8 to 8, and you work 9-5 - you can get off at 4 to have your four hours. If you work 8-4 your work owes you nothing.
I could be wrong on the four hours though. Maybe I should've googled it first....brb...
