Even the nicest person in the world can do untold damage. Path of good intentions, and all that. I'm far from being any kind of Austerity Hero but, holy fuck, I can't see any justification at all for the hole McGuinty and now Wynne have put good ol' ONT into. That debt will never ever be paid. It's impossible, and it has the potential to shatter the entire national economy if it results in some kind of a default someday. What's the answer from the provincial Libs going to be if that happens?

Federal bailout.

Trudope will pay for all. Or, rather, taxpayers will.

Something like that would split the country. Everyone chipping in a few billion to save the auto industry and it's jobs was one thing. Bailing out a provincial political party that deliberately put itself in this position with idiotic shit like it's fucked up utility system and over-hiring provincial employees in order to secure it's unionized voting base is something else altogether.

Great Britain has been carrying debt for over 300 years - since before the Industrial Revolution. The US has carried debt for almost 200 years. Old debts get paid off and new debts get taken out . Debt is not inherently bad. The first 2 links I recently posted in another thread.

Well, he does have a new "trendy" word to use and must use it every single time he makes a reference to the political right-wing.

While I worry about some hostile response, I wouldn't mind seeing how you explain how you aren't partisan yourself.

On a forum like this, it just looks like a pot calling the kettle black. We're all partisan. If we weren't, why would we discuss politics here, for years?

Please don't try to convince me you're rational and level-headed but no one else is. It seems to be the core feelings of virtually everyone, Fiddle ardently brags as much; we're all independent thinkers except everybody else. We formed our thoughts and opinions on personal research, experience, and morality, but everyone else just got it from some book/website/news outlet/politician/activist/parent and are just parroting stolen ideas.

Sorry, this is just a tangent now about one of my biggest political pet peeves in political discussions.

And also, as likely "Partisan Twit #3", I don't deny the charge.

Yes but you never deny it, unlike a few here.

You mean like PA9? I mean if he's going to call others partisan twits but not deny that he's one himself, that would be stupid. Or is that still ironic? Guess it could be both.
