There's lot of things you should get permission for, yet rarely do people get permission from Parks Canada for their various projects. We'll be doing another batch of beach sand this year.

Ahh, Rice Lake...the trailer park of the Kawarthas.

There's that "I'm better than you" attitude that we know so well.

So it's "screw the rules I can do whatever I want"... I can see why you like Ford so much.

You've done the research I hope on what dumping sand in a lake does to it?

I don't dump sand into the lake, but thanks for the tip. We dump the sand on the property adjacent to the water as it makes for a great volleyball court.

Ever replaced a light fixture in your home? Ever replaced a plug or switch?

Not the same thing... look up the definition of "stewardship".

Naturally, being a good steward and being safe aren't one and the same, although they do sometimes mix together.

However, you're the one who brought forth the generic term "screw the rules". If you don't follow the rules when it comes to your personal safety, the safety of your family and neighbours, it's fairly rich to cut me up over allegedly failing to follow the rules, laws or environmental stewardship.

Well, before this evolves into further argument, let me just thank everyone for their advise, it was all very useful and informative!
