My posting is how a church is helping people with food and clothing.

The church is Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kitchener and they collect empty aluminum pop/beer/liquor cans as well as beer/wine/liquor bottles to return and or crush. We sell the pop cans crushed to a local recycler and return the empty beer/wine/liquor bottles to the Beer store for deposit. We just started in November of 2011 and raised $35.75, now there are 27 cans in a pound roughly, and we have taken in 71 pounds.

In Hamilton, you can take your cans to James Street Baptist Church.

You should do your business in Quebec: the pop cans have a consigne of 5¢ ! That's a big business for homeless people. They need some competition.

Not so much SPAM...they aren't trying to sell anything, asking for money or renting out asian whores(as one frequent spammer to this site has tried.

Exactly, he shows no links to anything, and he's not trying to sell us anything, or hook us up with an Asian escort, all he is doing is being annoying with his spam like announcement......

Same here. Bottles vary from 5 to 20 cents, and then we have the environmental fee...

I wouldn't even go so far as to say it's annoying. He's just let us know of a cause in his neighbourhood that's doing good works. No different than someone who has cancer or a loved one who has cancer asking us to donate to the local cancer charity, Ronald McDonald House or someone asking that we donate warm clothes during a cold snap....or food and gifts during the holiday season. If they are asking for things personally, or for profit then I'd take exception.
