It ain't a hawk, it looks to be a Peregrine Falcon, note the "moustache"

Is that a bird it has in it's claws? It does look like a peregrine

It tis a bird, notice the fluff of the prey around it.

Nice.
I wonder what kind of bird it has in its talons, at first I thought pegion. But a little to dark for that and pigeons usually don't have tale feathers that long . The only thing I could think of is a young crow or raven.

Oddly enough I told this story a few hours ago....... before I saw this thread. 8O

My wife was watching a pigeon out the window one day when there was a sudden flash and a pile of feathers floating in the air........and no pigeon. A short distance away there was a Peregrine Falcon dining on fresh pigeon.
