WHY? I'll tell you why. Those people hired to management positions likely have the EDUCATION & COMMAND of ENGLISH to be able to carry out the duties to run the department! I AM NOT insinuating that you don't have the education , but clearly your command of the English language is lacking. Have you taken more than basic ESL classes? Do you possess more than rudimentary computer skills? In todays workforce excellent computer skills are a necessity. In your 20+ years of employment, what advancement programs have you taken advantage of? What businiess management courses have you graduated from?
If YOU want to be a manager, then you MUST be smarter than the smartest man/woman that YOU want to manage!
Not necessarily Yogi. Quite a few managers I've dealt with are dumber than retarded monkeys. When you can't even make a ONE week shift schedule right, call in staff when short, make a proper inventory order or even payroll then you're not smarter than the people under you. Its not just "low management" people that get the retards but the upper echelons of the corporate ladder get them too.
I've seen a couple of department managers that are complete fucktards and cause alot of trouble and headaches for the "grunts". What do the upper echelons do? They put them in a dif. department and nothing changes and this goes on for 4-5 years. All of a sudden, the upper echelons decide enough is enough and fire the dummies. The light bulb in their heads finally clicks on.
