THE EYE THAT SHEDS A TEAR

Your stare I met my love you took the eye that sheds a tear.
All my life Iv'e sought for you the feelings we may share.
The fears will face are but a test of what love may really be.
My love I give my heart I bare my soul for you to see.
These words I say these words I feel the eye that sheds a tear.

I wrote that twenty years ago to win Mrs Fat.

No wonder she allowed herself to be won.

Thanks  everyonce in a while I scrible it on a peice of paper and leave it laying around...and I will be damned if the cooking and the hugging don't both get turned up a notch. :D

i can see by this poem that you love Mrs. Fat very much. i was wondering if she knows you posted it? when my bf shared a poem that he wrote for me... i hated it. He wrote it for me and i felt that by sharing it with someone else he made it more about the poem and his creative writing than about the emotions and feelings that were expressed in it. i don't feel like its mine anymore.... it was a gift that he took back by letting someone else enjoy it.

* Clears throat...

When sunrays crown thy pine-clad hills
And Summer spreads her hand
When silvern voices tune thy rills
We love thee smiling land
We love thee, we love thee,
We love thee smiling land.

When spreads thy cloak of shimm'ring white
At Winter's stern command
Thro' shortened day and starlit night
We love thee frozen land
We love thee, we love thee,
We love thee frozen land.

When blinding storm gusts fret thy shore
And wild waves lash thy strand
Thro' spindrift swirl and tempest roar
We love thee wind-swept land
We love thee, we love thee,
We love thee wind-swept land.

As loved our fathers, so we love
Where once they stood we stand
Their prayer we raise to heav'n above
God guard thee Newfoundland
God guard thee, God guard thee
God guard thee Newfoundland.

 Oh yeah. Change that last verse a little and it would be a better National Anthem than O Canada.

Actually she had a profesional hand writer write it in script and it is hanging on the wall in our front entrance....
So I would have to say she wouldn't mind
