I know. Without him, we might never have known that wind turbines kill more ducks than tailings ponds.

Anyone care to mention where Taft as been the last couple of weeks, when he should have been in Edmonton holding the Government accountable. At least Ed’s been at work.

I wonder what a good bottle of Ouzo goes for on the beach these days.

If my work included giving myself a 34% raise, I'd do a hell of a lot of it too!

I guess we all know why he's got such a sh&# grin on his face now.

Is it really too much to ask to have a responsible government?

He deserves more. He has to live in Alberta.

"Hennig said the significant hikes appear to be a response to recent adjustments to MLA salaries for committee work that resulted in Speaker Ken Kowalski, a Tory MLA, and Official Opposition Leader Kevin Taft, making more money than Stelmach.

Last week's $42,000 increase also temporarily gave NDP Leader Brian Mason a slightly higher salary than the premier's ministers, said Paul Stanway, a spokesman in the premier's office."

Where is Taft? took the money and ran did he? same with Mason the guy doesn't even have an official party. I would like to hear their side of the story.

I'd first like to hear how they voted on the bill that gave them this raise.

I think you're missing the point Hurley. It's clearly Taft's fault.

Whats taking them so long to comment? the media always has the mike stuck in their faces....not a peep from either of them. We know Mason needs the money because his pay check took a hit when he lost official party status. Taft will soon be out on his ass so he needs all the money he can get his hands on.

I'll ask again, how did they vote on the bill that gave them this raise?

I'll ask again as well, they won't tell us. In reality I'm sure they voted no, however with a majority government they knew the answer would be yes allowing them to point the blame at someone else. All politicians would vote themselves a raise no matter which party they belonged to.

The Liberals did this same thing in BC. Gave themselves a nice juicy 29% pay raise. The NDP didn't fight it very hard either.
