If this were America finding the pirate ship, the Yanks would be all "America! FUCK YEAH! USA! USA! USA!"

But we Canadians just sit here and insult our accomplishments and ourselves.

If this were High School, Canada would be Emo, America and Israel would be the Jocks, Britain and France most likely the Preps. The entire middle east would be the Gangsters.

Russia and Germany would totally be those creepy goths who have a list of names in their basement, next to a freshly sacrificed child.

I don't think it's self loathing, just more...modest. Believe me, if those pilots can scare off some pirates with a Seaking, those guys could probably fly loops with Apaches and pilot a Chinook under the Ambassador bridge.

But modesty itself is really self-depreciating... And we do it too much. We have plenty to brag about. hell, we get more to brag about everyday.

But instead we actually forget it and insult it as a joke or something... Like

And modest or not, we definitely look like the Emo nation.

And come on, Do you ever listen to your fellow Canadians? I didn't JUST make the assumption that Canadians are self-loathing... There are entire books on the damn subject.

Ironically enough, out of all the countries that still use Sea Kings (IIRC, Britian, USA, New Zealand, a few others) ours are in the best condition and the most flightworthy. Kinda scary lol

On the positive side, the Seakings have a machine gun inside, they could have easily send a few warning shots

Sea Kings also still being used by other countries like the one G.W. fly's around are much newer models. They have beefed up airframes and drive trains and vaguely resemble the one still in the air for Canada.
