Exactly how are Canadian soldiers the best trained? What about Australians?
besides, training isn't what wins the battle, it's equipment.
First he never said trained. Second it isn't equipment. A well trained soldier will be superior to an awfully trained soldier, regardless of equipment. Unless the equipment pretty much does everything for you.

Unless you plan to protest every catagorization that happens in the forums, you may want to grow a thicker skin.

Alright, I'll give you the training.
How big is the Canadian army, anyway? Because if it's not that big like I am thinking it is, and with worn tech, training wouldn't save your soldiers. All about the arforce, baby.

You know what, I might take heat for this...but I'm sure in a hundred or two hundred years, Canada and the United States would possibly merge freely...either for economic or security reasons or both. Like it or not, Canada and the United States rely on each other, and even if this does change a bit, in the end it just makes sense. Its easier going next door to trade a few hockey cards then going downtown to a specialty store with a guy who speaks Chinese as the clerk.
Militarily too, Canada and the US rely on each other. Canada is basically protected by the American security umbrella, and Canada assists the United States by being friends. Its easier when your neighbor invites you for a BBQ instead of slashing your tires, no?
It won't happen soon, I'll agree on that. The mentalities of both Americans and Canadians aren't exactly the same. Canadians have an oversensitivity to the United States, while Americans in general just see Canada as it is, a nice neighbor who they have no idea what's going on inside his house. Hell, I think Americans recognize stereotypical Canadian symbols better than Canadians do, and when they do, it isn't in any way mocking (USUALLY).
Both Canadians and Americans truly need to understand each other. They need to learn to truly realize that we really aren't that different. Honestly, visiting large swaths of both nations, the borders don't matter. The American Southeast is no where near alike Canada...but states like Maine are quite similar to our Maritime provinces. Texas and Alberta are carbon copies economically, both coming from a history of cattle and oil. The American Great Plains states and Saskatchewan and MAYBE Manitoba aren't that dissimilar. Vancouver could be placed in Washington state and it wouldn't look out of place. Ontario and the American Rust belt (Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Penn., and others, maybe New York and New Jersey) are quite similar too. Hell look at Windsor, they literally were built at the same time. Houses built in the 50s can be seen on both sides
So will we be united one day? Possibly. I see it happening. Will it be anytime soon? No.

Me grow thicker skin? I'm the one who dealt with that shit for like 2 years. And from worst people than you. I hate people who judge people based on age. It's retarded. Had to voice it. Doubt it will stop, so whatever.

Agreed, if you think there's really a difference between us then, uhh, well I guess they need to study both of our countries more to see the similarities.

I didn't say it was evidence. It's just simply logical that they would.

How on earth do you think that the merger of three of the world's largest economies, a total rearrangement of their respective political systems, and what would undoubtedly be a gargantuan task of fusing three administrative bureaucracies could happen quietly? Perhaps because you need them to for your implausible conspiracy theory to work. Not only are offering speculation as a substitute for evidence, but it's not even rational speculation.
Three?
And without the peoples consent, of course.

Thank you for having so much confidence in the Canadian Military. Tell me again why you are on a patriotic Canadian forum again?

Jeez man, calm down. I am not trying to insult you guys, I was just saying you guys really don't have good tech, military wise. Not a jab at Canada.
I joined because I like seeing peoples' opinions outside of my own country. Please realize that I am not trying to rag on Canada, and if you do see me doing that, realize that I'm probably kidding.

Fair enough, and I'll take it under advisement.
But if I chuck shit at him for being an idiot, then all the idiots on the forum will complain.

Actually our technology isn't that bad anymore. The upgrades and new equipment is coming in, we ordered I think about 100 new battle tanks, and not some shitty T-55s from a warehouse in Ukraine. We also have the Chinooks that and new helicopters to replace the Seakings.
However, the equipment we have is usually at least 20-30 years old. CF-18s, Sea Kings, a majority of our ships (Not as big of a deal though, ships are easier to upgrade). The Conservative government we have now is slowly modernizing our armed forces, there are topics somewhere. I'd recommend searching Chinook.

BS.
Who here stands up for me because of my "Innocent Age" or some shit? Point me to where anyone freaks out on you (other then me, or Tricks) for ragging on me for my age.
Fuck, most people here don't even acknowledge my age anymore. It's not an issue. You seem to want to make it an issue though.
Every nation has it's demons. Every country has people they want to hide.
1) This is Lou Dobbs. Have you actually watched his show on a regular basis? I would take anything he says with a big salty cube.
2) Did you actually listen to this? How does a border security agreement mean the end of a country? How does harmonizing meat inspection amount to the end of Canada? This sounds to me like a minor trade and border security agreement that Lou Dobbs in his paranoia is blowing out of proportion.
