ppppfffftttt I know lots of people that do ( rises to 28 in 3 years , thats where my younger brother is )

22 bucks an hour for a single person...no problem
family with 2 incomes even easier.

lots of rental units now available in Calgary as well.

Yes, and that's my dream... to rent a place in Calgary.

give it a break ...again so if it's good enough for people to come all the way from the UK whats wrong with Canadians?...how about recent arrivals...lots of excuses for not taking jobs in this country...bloody socialists

So... how many people are coming all the way from the UK to drive your buses?

How much gas is there, you think?

Never ending bud, wherever there is coal there is CBM.

And that's pretty well everywhere in N. America.

You do realize that when people ask "how much gas" they don't mean after chilie cheese dog night?

they went to the UK in July and hired 52 drivers plus 10 HD mechanics who get paid 32 bucks an hour!...couldn't find any of those in Canada as well. Really makes you wonder about the work ethic of Canadians if we're so short of jobs.

No, that's not what I'm getting at.

You've posted here that a lot of your tickets were paid for by EI.

We declined a $ 36 joboffer 2 years ago. We didn't think we could live to the standards we were used to, and one of the reasons we wanted to move to Canada was a certain standard of living.

We get paid less here in BC, but we have what we want, and we can afford it.

If the issue is straight up job retraining without cost to the participant thats fine. There are other social complications as well.

What about people with families including elderly members that they help take care off?

Sure alot of young bucks from out east go west looking for work. Thats not always an option though.
