Society has ultimately failed when we cannot protect the young and innocent and will not convict the evil and guilty.

Well when you have the incompetent amd insidious interpreting the laws, shit like this becomes more common place. Things are only going to get worse as long as the criminals are portrayed as victims and the victims are completely ignored. Even if the perp kills himself or has an 'accident', things wouldn't improve because its the judges and lawyers, and by extrension politicians, that allow the criminals to get away with this shit.

What it comes down to is that the walls of society have so dulled the senses of its keepers that when the wolf comes howling they think it's a new pet dog. In the dark of the night, the lambs are slaughtered, but come day when 'Fido' scampers up with blood dripping from his teeth and he's wagging his tail, the owner can't help but feel sorry for it and exonerate him from all crime and conviction.

Meanwhile, there is a silence of the lambs.

FRY in '94? Hmmm, those two incidents are not ringing any bells. He would have been 22 at the time so at the most a junior Leader.

Time to contact the old boy network, methinks.

The most telling part of the whole story was that a former section mate of the accused asked for the right to give testimony at court when he read about the trial in the papers.

The former section mate had planned to testify that the tour they were on was a quiet one, he spent virtually every day with the accused during it, and that not once did he witness or hear about the incidents the accused used as justification for his actions years later.

In short, if the guy's section mates didn't see it, it didn't happen. Anyone whose been in a combat arms unit knows that there are no secrets in a section or crew. There's no way that shit happened.

The judge, in his learned wisdom, chose to exclude the army buddy's evidence though. And I guess Mr Justice saw something none of the troops over there did as well.

LUNATIC FUCKING JUDGES!

Start Rant........

Now I got alot of respect for anyone who has worn/wears/will wear that uniform...howeverwhen you go after a 13 year old girl...thats not PTSD...thats a fucking pedophile.

Quote:
He said he once came across a Serbian soldier raping a young girl and shot the man in the head. On another occasion, he said, he saw a girl killed by a landmine.

Ok...he saw a guy raping a girl and shot him......yet he didnt stop to see if that young man who he shot was suffering from PTSD....maybe we should return the favour.

And for the land mines....well that would be a harsh thing to see....however.....my good friend once saw a pretty bad car accident....he stopped to help...tried to drag a guy out of a car that was on fire and his head fell off into his hands...he doesnt much like talking about it as I can understand....does this give him a " keep out of jail free" card.....can he go shoot the shit out of a bunch of people and then claim PTSD?

What a crock of fucking shit.....so in essence what we have done is passed off some PTSD......I know if I were the father of that LITTLE GIRL I would fucking kill that guy.....end of story.....kill the fucker dead...after I cut of his testies(or what he has that pass for testies cause he obviously has no real balls) and fed them to him......then claim that I suffered from PTSD.... after seen the guy who raped my little girl go free....that would cause a great amount of stress in anyone....in truth it is causing me a little stress as it is....yup...if I were the Father I would kill that mother fucking scum sucking piece of shit.

Well that just the way the people are in the world today.....why accept responsibility for your actions when we can blame something else....fucking joke.

....end rant.

The guy doesn't deny doing it. It was the courts and the judge specifically that decided to ignore evidence from a former comrade, who claimed that the defendant didn't witness the acts he claimed to have. it was the Judge and the court that decided to let this POS get away with raping a 13 yr old girl. It is the Courts and the Judge who must be held responsible for this miscarriage of justice. They must bear society's outrage and the consequences of their ruling. This was insult added to injury.

How the hell do you find him not guilty? My understanding has always been that insanity changes your sentencing (e.g. they go to a mental hospital rather then prison) not changing the ruling.

Reminds me of a certain sailor on Preserver who went after Swiss Air for PTSD damages after flight 111 went down. Most of the crew was willing to testify for Swiss Air to state that he never left his office for the entire 9 days we were the on scene command except to eat and sleep. Thankfully THAT judge told him where to head in and dismissed his case.

And that folks is why so many of us in the CF have an inherent distrust of PTSD claims. This oxygen thiefs blatant misuse of a condition that affects real soldiers is a slap in the face to both soldiers and those who truly suffer from PTSD!

In the end it might even prevent some from seeking help for real PTSD issues to avoid being painted with the same brush as this fucking useless waste of rations!
