So, do you guys think it is possible that Winnipeg might get an NHL team back? I think that it might be, but if it does happen its not gonna be for a few years. But I can't wait for when it does, i'm to young to remember much of the Jets days and I think it would be amazing if we did get a team.

Im for any new hockey teams in Canada, no matter where, I would love to see all thoselong gone teams back again. Maybe then we would have Canadian teams winning the cup again! Bring back the Jets! Bring back Nordics!

Jets, Nordiques and a team in Hamilton, too. But don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen anytime soon.

Unless the NHL changes it's business model pretty drastically, Winnipeg and other cities like it have seen the last of NHL hockey.

Hamilton could probably support a team. It won't happen though because the Leafs would stop any attempt lust like they did in 1990.

I think that cities like Winnipeg could afford a team under the new NHL but I agree that it wont happen to soon. I think the only chance of it happening is if the NHL finds a replacement for Gary Bettman, especially since he is still looking to spread the NHL in southern US cities like Kansas City. So like i said before, if an NHL team does come back to a city like WInnipeg or Quebec City, its not gonna be for at least a few years.

It would be great for these 2 Canadian cities to get a hockey team.

I know there has been talks in Quebec City to get one.

The only thing is that it would be a committee run by Marcel Aubut. The same SOB that sold them.

It would be cool nonetheless to have the Nordiques.

Which city would be more likely to get one ? Winnipeg or Quebec.

Winnipeg. I also think Quebec having two teams just divided that province. After all Manitoba doesn't have a team. I always thought maybe Halifax could get a NHL team? Could call them the Halifax Highlanders

Move Pittsburgh to Winnipeg and the Western Conference and bring Detroit into the Eastern Conference.

Winnipeg before Quebec City if only because Winnipeg has a venue which might be suitable for an NHL team.

Don't think Halifax is anywhere near big enough for an NHL team although that would be cool.

That'd be sweet. Heck, I'd settle for Atlanta moving north again, this time to the 'Peg. The MTS Centre is a nice building, with skyboxes and 15,000 seats. It might be a smidgen too small, but Winnipeg would make it work if they got a team again.
