This. Is. Ridiculous. The City wants to get rid of the tax exempt income for city council, because they feel it is unfair to tax payers. Yet they vote to give themselves a raise to counter any taxes they will now have to pay, so in effect they lose nothing?? Then, they agree to award themselves with a bonus...... a severance package worth 6 months of salary.
