Claude Castonguay has published today his study on the Quebec's public health care system. This study was not needed because as the population is aging, healthcare become less important; as a person is aging, death has to be accepted and as the population is aging, life chances need less to be equalize.

Are you trying to be some sort of religiously motivated retard?

As people age healthcare becomes less important???

That is beyond ignorance and beyond stupidity and I can only hope you were joking.

Why don't we just do away with healthcare altogeather? Fuck the sick and fuck the people unlucky enough to get hurt.

Remind me what religion you belong to?

Remind me to feel empathy for you the next time you need medical attention as you are being a drain on the taxpayers when you do.

Empathy consists first and foremost for an old man to remember what it was to be a young man in the old days.

We are not speaking of discrimination between a young and an old persons but of comparing one person at two different ages.

No. You are saying deny or limit healthcare to older people because they are closer to death and should just accept it.

Everything you have said is against every tennent of healthcare.

On yer bike.

A public healthcare system is about life chances equalization.

No it isn't. Healthcare is about doing whatever you can to help an individual. It can take many forms but its never about what you say it is.

Your philosophy is unbelievably wrong and disturbed.

difficult issue.

Younger people in the workforce vs. non-working older people near the average death age.

Should they be equal under the Health Care System? :S

Remind me to tell you about GFPBs belief concerning healthcare and the individuals who choose as you do with regards to funding.

IN addition, I challenge your (and benoits) belief structure that somehow seems to be suggesting that elderly people deserve less care because they are close to death.

Why not limit healthcare for aids patients because they are dead anyway. Eliminate diabetes care, cancer wards .........

Truly ghoulish.

I wasn't suggesting I lean one way or another, I was just thinking its a valid debate to have.

I probably lean to your point of view.

All life is equal, regardless of circumstance, and should deserve equal chance to live.

If I took the other side, that would make me hypocritical on my abortion stance too.

I don't think there is any debate. I don't make judgement calls on my job. I provide the best possible healthcare service I can regardless of any other consideration. I don't make a judgement based on names or age that makes me spend less time on a given patient in order to provide more time for a patient with a more "desirable" demographic.

No debate exists in my opinion.

Actually I am a Medical Technologist. I preform all manner of lab tests.

I've addressed that above recommendation at length. A simple scan of the forum will see their is already a thread on that topic which I posted at length concerning the wrongness of that conclusion.
