Make babies, ADQ urges Quebec women

They've begged em, they've bribed em, they've tried to guilt em but it seems that Quebec politicians can't seem to interest their heterosexual women into reproducing.

Quebecors are probably the most self absorbed and self centered people I've ever seen in Canada (Nflders the least IMHO) and you can't couple that with all an anti family culture and expect women to have babies with Quebec men who aren't likely to stick it out.

Of course, that flies in the face of an Australian study last year (sorry no link) that determined the reason Australian women were not having babies (or just one) had nothing to do with the women but rather then men who resisted having families fearing a loss of free time and being straddled with child care if the relationship ended.

Anyway, the Quebecois won't exist in 50 years unless that now means you are Haitian by ancestry.

That energy belongs to the people of Canada and Quebec has no right to determine its end use. Selfish Quebec steals the resource from NFLD and then sells it at a deep discount to the US when it should be used to subsidise the cost of electricity for all Canadians.

Hell, even the area most power is generated was only ceded to Quebec for "administrative purposes" and was never part of the original province.

Which of course poses the rhetorical question: If an anglophone speaks English in Montreal and there's no Quebecers there to be offended is it still wrong?

You mix up three things here: the expertise to make dams; the decision to make them; and the distribution of the royalties they generate when in fonction.
