Can't business owners just tell them to just shove their fines up their ass...we ain't paying. Really if most business owners did this what could they do?

No outrage about someone being called a fascist, and advocating breaking the law.

Big day for you Shep.

If you don't pay they escalate it to seizures that's what happen to a garage in Shawville Quebec where he refused to pay, they then sent a letter telling him they we're going to seize over 100k in equipment and vehicles. He forwarded all that information to 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes got in touch with them. They said it was an administrative error and dropped it(pussed out). Sad he had to rely on American media to do something.

Thanks P.Trudeau for the Not-wistanding clause, great fuckn' idea.

I've talked to Spaniards that wouldn't mind seeing Franco back in power....just look at Italy and the resurgence of Il Duce's 'popularity'.

Yup, more than anyone wants to admit.

But admiring Mussolini is still officially a crime in Italy. :)

The attraction of Fascism as opposed to Socialism/Communism is the fact that it allows for a lot more economic freedom than the latter systems. An economic middle class is possible under that system.....civil rights and liberties are ephemeral and abstract while cash in the bank(food on the table) and political stability(law and order or perception of it) keep most people happy.

I thought the "stupidity is boundless" was confirmed with Curt's post that consisted of his usual "hey, pull my finger - BRAAAP - ha-ha, ya fuck!" contribution.

Why do you hate so?

Is it a problem with the fact that some, and at times, more than just some disagree with you or is it something deeper?

Do you hate everyone who is not exactly like you?

Please lay upon the couch and release your inner demons.

Hate? It's just funny, that's all.

The ones who usually fling the nazi, fascist and gestapo epithets here, in regards to Canadian affairs are proven idiots. Their lack of education, maturity and perspective is the main culprit for their over use and abuse of these terms.

Should pot be made legal, I could care less if someone wanted to smoke it. Fuck.... for all of that, I'd encourage them to inhale until they developed a tumour the size of my fist. However, until the government enacts legislation, it remains illegal and should only be made available to those who require it for medical reasons, enabling them to function as close to normalacy as possible.

Suddenly he's suggesting that civil disobedience is a suitable response to what he's labeling fascism.

And posting a CBC article.

Before you know it, you're voting NDP.

No offence there Curt but I will never vote NDP. I will never support a party that puts union ideals against basic human rights.

ROTFL ROTFL

Quote:
Harper labels Mulcair an extremist after NDP threat to ‘revoke’ China trade treaty

Thomas Mulcair was labelled an anti-trade, anti-business extremist Wednesday for threatening to rip up a controversial investment treaty with China.
...
“The leader of the NDP is saying he would revoke the hard-earned right of Canadian investors to be protected in a marketplace like China. That is precisely why Canadian investors, the Canadian business community and the Canadian public at large does not trust the NDP with economic policy,” Harper said.

“New Democrats support trade,” retorted Mulcair. “We just do not support selling out Canada.”

Harper countered that the NDP has opposed almost every trade deal Canada has ever struck with any country, including calling the free trade agreement with the United States a “sellout.”

“That kind of extremism on trade is why Canadians will never entrust economic policy to the NDP,” he declared.

So you'll vote for one that has no concern at all about human rights if it gets in the way of business.

This kind of stuff reminds me of a comment Konrad Adenauer made about why Germany allowed Adolf Hitler to rise to power he said: "God places certain limits on our intelligence but none what so ever on our stupidity."

This "limitation" isn't limited to Spain, Italy, Germany we all fall prey to it at some point.
