I have absolutely no idea where you're going with this, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark and interpret it.

Are you asking whether or not Canada should be a religious country?

Well, as far as the Statistics go, Christians remain over 50% of the population. But we are a bit of a passive country, our main export is apathy.

So because of that apathy, we are a mostly irreligious country, and most of the population understands the need for separation of Church and State.

So, in Canada, it's "In Whatever We Trust".

I have to agree with Hyack's assessment as well.

In what is surely a sign of the Apocalypse, I am agreeing with you. R=UP

That's not the idea.
I believe man has come along way. Having faith is good! Believing that man should respect others, as he wants to be treated. Nothing wrong with that concept.

The fact is that humans have out grown the stories, and are realizing the truth.
All religion does is come between people.....
As the person in the quote has so happily pointed out.

But I respect for his beliefs, doesn't mean I myself don't have a faith. I do!
Just don't need someone in the BIG HOUSE TELLING ME and others that the world will end soon because of Global warming.....

The stories are nice, but humans can't be that naive!!!!

Atheist maybe! Science is a wonderful thing. Knowing that humans are just part of the Elements. Man has created many things, as he himself has created a god in his image! [popcorn] Sammy

Haha.
The JoHos came to my door last Easter and invited me to attend a service at the Kingdom Hall to celebrate the death of Jesus.
Couldn't help myself blurted out in my best Forrest Gump voice:
"He DIED? OMG what are we Anglicans going to do NOW? We've been waiting 2,000 years! OMG! OMG!"
You shoulda seen the look of disgust! I laughed for hours after they left, and best of all they've never ever come back!!

I believe people are taking this the wrong way.
Science and the facts show different points of view. Religion and state should be separate. But humans mix them all up and politics is produced. One leads to the other, as history shows.

It's ok to be sadistic..... I'm getting use to it in Canada, maybe that's part of Canadian culture! EH! Not all Canadiens ..... [flag]
