I have never seen anything like this before. Interesting effect.
Instructions: a) stare at the red dot on the woman's nose for 30 seconds b) turn to a blank surface like a bare wall or ceiling and blink your eyes rapidly and repeatedly.

Don't really need all that blinking.. just look at the wall and close one eye... you can switch eyes after a few seconds.

Learned the mechanics behind this in my Sensation and Perception class. It's called afterimage, or image burn-in.

It won't work with them. The photo is a reflective colour negative, your old negatives are transmissive colour negative. Big difference. I used to date a graphic artist.
