Thanks for the offer.

At the moment, the only concept of a plan they got is that Scott, who I guess I can call my red headed step brother, has suggested using the excavator to try to pick it up. Beyond that, no concept has really been drawn up of how to actually get it out of there. :\

I figured it would get someone's attention. Too bad the place wasn't called "Sheep Bay." I'm sure you'd be pulling no stops to help out then.

I recall once or twice having to tow boats that got away in a storm. Bloody pain that is at 5am or in the middle of a gale. :x

Yea, Coast Guard found it around 9 or 10 in the morning. They didn't want to tow it, only called Mom to tell her her boat was loose. >_>

Don't suppose you have any ideas in mind eh? You were the one I was first thinking of when I thought about bringing it up here.

Wow... take a chill pill and recall you're flogging the thread for freebies here. Not sure if you think everyone on the Island has a crane and truck and trailer, but you might surprised that they don't. Sorry I'm not jumping up and down weeping and wailing for you, but I've spent many uncomfortable hour in every kind of weather towing boats that 'got away'. It's the price of owning a boat and me beinig in the RCN.

Next time caveate your thread with - "Only serious replies allowed."

Sorry, the edit came in slow. But, yeah you got the idea, just make it strong enough and you should be OK. Gonna take some sweat though and don't rush! lol

Possibility.

Plywood sheets laid out end to end out to the water and then slathered with some form of environmentally friendly grease. Still need somebody to tow it though. Salvage company can tow it out at a decent cost at high tide and it shouldn't be too far.

The roll was for sarcasm. Sorry. Guess I should have added a " :P " No misgivings on my end, I thought it was kinda funny and was trying to carry the joke along.

Anyways, thanks for the ideas. I'm out for a few days, I'll be back on friday. :?
