ya tell me about it. i think the A-10s have the most awe inspiring firepower of the whole AF.
they were viewed as inferior because they are subsonic, and also the way warfare is conducted has changed to night time precision bombing campaigns (as we saw in the opening days of the current iraq war). good thing they kept the tank busters, though.

this plane was orininally designed to be a SAM killer but they found out it was better suited against tanks.

also, this plane was responsible for the second friendly fire attack on canadians at the beginning of operation medusa.
