I find the assertion that a white guy can use the n-word in the presence of black people without being malicious incredibly stupid. You might have the right legally to say what you want to whoever you want whenever you want, but don't pretend that your doing it somehow makes you some kind of noble free speech crusader. Anyone who uses that kind of language around black people isn't a hero, they're just an insulting asshole who's hiding behind some bullshit "my rights first!" argument that he's concocted in his head.

I think that any Muslim that holds up a "Death To Canada/America/etc" sign should be kicked out of our countries and sent right back to the third world hellhole he came from. I also think that any white guy who uses the n-word around black people should be kicked square in the nuts for being a total jerk. I have no problem at all with bringing the hammer down hard on those who hide behind a distortion of free speech just because it allows them to act like pricks in public. Screw them, and screw that whole obnoxious interpretation of freedom altogether too.

That can be, but blacks themselves (the younger generation) has less problems with it than you or I. I don't think they have the interest in the history of the word.

You would probably find some morons, possibly the American Civil Liberty Union, who would argue that racial slurs are "protected free speech".

Of course some blacks might argue that (after they kick in the offenders skull in) that that is free speech as well.

We can't delete the words from the English language. I think the best we can do is to let those words fade so far out of usage that eventually one would have to google it it to find out what it means.
