According to Deutsche Welle (German news) officials in Belgium announced that it was not a terrorist attack before the attack had concluded. DW reports that up to three assailants are currently the subject of an Interpol alert despite the Beligian insistance in the media that the one dead attacker acted alone.

Whether or not there is more than one attacker is currently disputed by different sources.

The dead attacker has been identified as Nordine Amrani, a Belgian resident and immigrant from Pakistan according to Al Jazeera.

We don't let felons own guns in the USA. The gist of this issue so far is that this guy was allowed to own guns right out of prison! I really hope that's not the case, but then where the heck did he get full rock 'n roll weapons and hand grenades? That's all military kit.

I know the official party line here is that this is not terrorism but your average lone-wolf mutt doesn't come up with toys like this without some heavy hitters supplying this stuff to him - and there is no way he bought this stuff with the money he saved up in prison - someone else had to have been paying for it.

That's the sentiment when people yell "terrorist attack", and it is a guy from Pakistan.

No one dared to say it. I have not such a problem. I call a spade a spade when I see them. Calling this guy a terrorist when he is from Pakistan, coming from Bart, means Muslim Terrorist.

I agree that Breivik is a terrorist, and that is because of his plan. Who says this guy had a plan? This guy is a career criminal, who (my guess tho) lost it.

In Alphen a/d Rijn (The Netherlands), a year ago, some guy randomly shot people in a mall. Was he a terrorist? No. Was he ever CALLED a terrorist? No.

You're kidding, right? The guy opened tossed grenades and opened fire into a huge crowd of civilians at a bus station and Christmas market. If that's not terrorism, I have no idea what is terrorism.
