Boy oh boy, I can’t wait to read the replies to this little rant, but what good would this site be if people couldn’t stir up some sh*t.
I am a graduate of Police Foundations and a recent graduate of Law and Justice Program from Laurentian. So needless to say I have studied at length crime and most of what is involved in crime. I also, much like all of you fine folks, read and listen to the news from around the country. What I am hearing and have studied disturbs me to no end, violent offenders getting off because of technicalities….again and again or serving only 1/8th of their sentence for a terrible crime and getting out on parole…only to re-offend while on parole….perverts, drug junkies, rapists, foreign gangs moving into Canada etc etc, the list goes on and on.
Now when these scumbags DO go to jail we pick up the $51, 000 min/med security facility and $110,223 for men and $150,867 for women in max security facility, I don’t have recent figures for the number of people incarcerated, but rest assured, it equals a very substantial amount of money. As I stated before, even after their little jail stint, most of these scumbags reoffend and are sent straight back.
I believe I have come up with a solution for the hardcore criminals, drug users, and re-offenders (true these can be grouped with the hardcore criminals). This solution will not only GUARANTEE the offender will not re-offend, but it will also save the tax payers one hell of a lot of money, this solution I have coined ‘The Five Cent Solution’
That is, if a person, regardless of sex repeatedly commits violent crime, instead of sending them to prison to rot at the tax payers expense, just line them up and pull the trigger, done and done, one less scumbag to worry about. Not only would that eliminate the problem of the violent criminal but it would send a very clear message to other would be criminals, ‘Don’t f*ck with our citizens, or we’ll f*cking kill you’.
Now I know there are some out there who are thinking ‘an eye for an eye makes the world blind’ ok, say that to the parents of the innocent CHILDREN being ripped apart by gun fire because these piece of sh*t ‘gangsters’ indiscriminately spray death on a nightly basis.
Case in point, that new gang that is trying to gain a foot hold in Canada, those losers’ from Brazil, or some place, what better way to send the message that they are not wanted in Canada then to send the members already here back home a little lighter in the head….or without one….both work…..I’m not picky.
These people are the drug dealers, users, ‘gangsters’, urban terrorists, murders, rapists, and pedophiles that are tainting our society and killing the innocent, therefore I suggest that the easiest way to both stop future crime and send a strong anti-crime message is to just up and kill this scum, cut them down like you’d chop off a gangrenous limb. Don’t get me wrong, due process would be involved in every step of the way, but once that guilty verdict is passed, off to wall of justice for you scumbag, none of this appeal shit, none of this American waiting on death row for decades, bam gavel, wall’s outside, and another one bites the dust and it is another good safe day for Canada and her citizens.
There she be, my five cent solution, bring on the critiques!

I'm gonna agree, if there is a fair trial and such, sure. Like how you see those three strike laws? Well the third strike should permanently remove you.
I know I'll get some shit for this. But who cares? Its the Internet.

I also hope to God you're RCMP, because I sure don't want a cop like you in my town. tisk tisk, come on Lily, don't make decisions regarding my ability to be a good law enforcement officer from internet posts

I might change my voe if you extend this to include cops, politicians and other people in trust who betray that public trust.
i.e any politician caught stealing (Devine Era conservatives with a safe deposit box full of taxpayer cash in Sask), cops who steal or are otherwise found to be corrupt, teachers who diddle students, priests who molest children...
No three strike rule for these people. One bribe, one misconduct, ...one bullet. Sounds fair to me.

Innocent people would be killed.
No.

No. wake up, innocent people are being slaughtered now, i offer a solution that will permanently remove the risk of truly innocent people being killed by these scumbags.

I am going to have to question your reasoning, how can character possibly be tested when no one is looking? one decision or another, there is no one around to look positively or negatively at your character. and I am not hiding behind the internet, you want my tomb stone information i'll pm you, i am not ashamed of my ideas and truly believe and can back up how it will improve the safety and security of this country and its people.

You want to protect the "truly innocent". Who exactly are those guys? remember that girl who was killed on boxing day a few years back....we can start with her, and we can end with that one guy who worked for that convince store, just standing there when that scumbag walked up to him and emptied his magazine. I'm pretty sure i'm missing a baby or two who was killed when a stray round smashed through their window or wall and into their poor tiny bodies. Those are the truly innocent people my solution is opting to protect. I realize you are trying to beat my solution with semantics, but the solution is just too solid to be taken down so easily.

You`re proposing a near-police state with summary execution of those found guilty.
Ain`t gonna happen, HM.
