1) Nationalize the major American banks and the major brokerages/trading houses for a period of not less and not more than ten years: institute a $1 tax on every $100 dollars of financial transaction and dedicate every single penny from that tax towards reduction of the national debt. No more disappearance of tax revenue into the nebulous underverse of unaccountable "general revenues".

2) Institute major campaign finance reform that bans all corporate donations to both the individual politician and the party that they belong to.

3) Ban all corporations from establishing "think-tanks" or "advocacy groups" that funnel corporate donations into the political system under a false guise of "non-profit" status, e.g. what the Koch brothers and Dick Armey were doing with the so-called "grass roots" of the TeaParty "movement".

4) Overturn the catastrophic Citizens United decision that came from the George W. Bush-appointed Supreme Court. Corporations are not individuals and they deserve none of the codified rights individuals are guaranteed of under constitutional law.

5) Install a 10% tariff on any imports of manufactured goods from companies that shut down manufacturing facilities in the United States and laid off hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of American workers just to set up shop in slave-labour third world locations.

Start from there and add more than a few more. But it'll never happen. We're in the age now of full-blown corporate feudalism and there's no turning back. For working class/middle class people everywhere, especially in the United States, it's really just going to keep getting worse as time goes by.
