They have a song? Wow...I bet their parents are proud. I really hope that was staged...because that's just sad.

Yankees fans singing "why are you gay" (YMCA style) to 2 Red Sox fans (who look quite young IMO)

I don't think it's the first time they've sing that song - quite pathetic and extremely childish. Worse are those people laughing and cheering them on..

So where was security in that section. That went on for sometime and had the potential of escalating into violence. Some or all of these idiots should have been tossed out.

I can only think that the security guards either got a laugh out of it, or thought the two were part of the group and it was "all in good natured fun".

Would not have happened on my watch. If I had heard that my guards stood by and did nothing. I would have wanted to know why.

they weren't calling them homosexuals, they were calling them gay.

I know it's hard for some people to understand but THEY'RE NOT THE SAME THING.

I call my laptop gay when it freezes, I called my friggin chainsaw gay today when it wouldn't start.

That's so gay!

(sarcasm - this is about how the teenagers say this around here lately. And, yes, it has nothing to do with gender orientation)

I have looked over at a couple of the vids with the one presented. It seems anybody with a jersey or cap of a team other than the Yankees get the same treatment. When ever the YMCA song is played these morons get into their act. Childish as it is the crowd eats it up. There is no proof that the two men are gay. It is possible that the only thing that prompted these jerks was a the support of the opposing team.

It is still a BS thing to do. and has the potential of becoming a bad situation. I still say toss the lot of 'em and it would stop soon enough.

The definition of Gay to the Teenage world:

1. Odd
2. Screwing up, disrupting
3. Silly insult

So how does the expressions used by "The Gay, Lesbian & Trans-gender" community fit in to your definition? I guess those that show up to any "Gay Pride" events have it all wrong.

So you tell you laptop/chainsaw that they suck D.I.C.K (in the spirit of the song)?

I would argue that they DO call them gay as in HOMOSEXUAL - if you don't think alluding to "sucking dicks" have nothing to do w/ homosexuality, I don't know what does

It has two meanings: Homosexual and happy. Listen to the words of what they were singing. It was clearly directed towards homosexuals. If you can't see that then you have severe comprehension problems.

It will only take these jerks taunting the wrong guy (gay or not) and one or two of 'em will get a clout in the jaw that will knock them into the next section down. Then this will be on the news as "Bleacher Creatures Cause Brawl" and not YouTube. The American equivalent of soccer hooligans.

And do you know why that is? Homophobia is rampant in schools. Gays are thought of as odd disrupting screw-ups with something wrong with them. Gay has become an insult because it's the worse thing -- at least they think -- to call someone or something they don't like. And it stuck.

Imagine calling something you dislike "negro" or "oriental."
