I once ....ummm , no I always use a lighter to check the water in the battery cells . BANG !!! , it sounded like a shot gun , I rinsed the left eye for about 5 minutes an ambulance showed up but I refused and walked to emerg. because it was only a block away . apparently it was a very dry cell so it was just 100s of little powder holes which would heal in a week . When I arrived home to look at the battery it had exploded mostly into the fender well and the rest blew past my head just brazing it but of course I now know a battery cell explodes quicker than one can blink and I still use a lighter to check the cells . okay you can bash away now but I survived :) ya it's a true story

Ya see, I knew you had some Alberta redneck in you.

Ironicly I thought you would be the first to reply ...I suppose I can't help being a little redneck because I spent my whole life there except these last two years in Sask. I don't know what the hell I'm doing here but at least the kids have a big house and close to everything they need . I think I'm still to chicken shit to challenge the cost of living in Alberta to move back even though I'd like to.

That's OK. You will see plenty of Alberta in a few years when you come to visit your children and grandchildren.

True story:

General Schwarzkopf in 1991 was at the Saudi and Occupied Kuwait border and went to a Marine encampment and asked the guys there if they'd seen any Iraqis.

"Yes, sir. There's eight of them in that truck over there." said one Marine whilst gesturing in a given direction.

Schwarzkopf gets out his binoculars, walks a few paces and then climbs up on the front of a truck and peers out into the desert.

"I don't see this Iraqi truck, where is it?" He says.

"You're standing on it, sir."

Years ago my wife (at the time) and I were walking our newborn son (who was in his stroller). My wife was eating on a Popsicle. Our neighbour saw this and said he's going to have one as well.

My wife said "congratulations"...

I should of known then. :D

Some of the best people in the world do the stupidest things.
My one sister once asked me (seriously) when whopper wednesday was. And my oldest sister used my parents cottage for a week some summers back. (At one time we had to carry water up from the lake and boil it so we could drink, cook or wash in it. But over years of improvement the place had everything a normal home would....IE. running water.) So for their whole stay at the place my sis, her husband and her children were carrying water up from the lake so they could cook and do the dishes....Even though they had been having showers and flushin the toilets all week.....DUH
heres hopin I took after a diff part of the family
