What make's it stressfull is the power lines,cam lines and lines for the motion sensors.Where they hydrovaced the lines are a meter down but whoever layed them cheated right after that and laid them on the ground and covered them with gravel.

So I uncovered 2 lines today and my swamper was still shovelling gravel into the low spots as i got out and took pics of the lines(covering my ass)

I then got back into my hoe,beeped the horn and pointed at the lines,the swamper then gave me the signal to not move.hahahahahaha!

Think he need's a break.

He hasnt even seen the lines yet.

The mayor showed up yesterday,he's the owner of the company i'm contracting for and i'll probably be here 2 more weeks at this rate.
Not that I mind,he wants to find more work before freeze up then fine with me.He takes us into town for lunch when he's here so it's all good,plus he's bought all my dinners.

so he's a great guy and know's how to build road but not the best operator.

So much for going home wensday,he made enough work for us today trying out his skills on the new d6 cat.

When he tried it out for the first time he said"man,a guy could do some damage with that cat" and he did.

Then he got on the d8 and decided to move a topsoil pile over 20 feet.
Man,we have to give him a piece of equipment to haul back home so he lets us finish this job.

2 more days,then it's home for a break and back up all by my lonesome to pretty thing's up with the hoe.I'll have to lazer level 2 kliks of ditch and make sure it flows.
Good untill xmas.

I think I'm going back to prison after the long weekend,hope the sentence is fairly long.

The warden said if I came back he would take me fishing on the smokey river so I'm in there.
Just went and loaded my 135 gallon fuel tank now for the drive up,dont think i'll go through Jasper this time though. The view was nice through the Columbia icefields but the roads were brutal.

no,Free fuel is usually part of the contract so it's good to have a big tank ,plus a d8 cat or big hoe will use that much fuel in a day so I just got the size that was good for the biggest equipment I was running.

It's also nice for when you go home at the end of a job,this guy allways fills up my tank and truck.
There's a reason theres so many diesels in Alberta you know.

I dont know if I'll be inside the wire or not,hope it's outside,the inmates have been locked down for allmost a year now with all the water and sewer lines going in for the prison upgrade to medium security.
Sounds like they have been climbing the walls since they banned smoking.

Heh heh,theres allways the trucker chick at the big valley bar and she has a friend.

So that's a ten hour drive and I'm now in grande Cache,the QE2 was brutal for traffic so I went through Drayton Valley,
Only got lost a couple times in the construction detours in between Calgary and Edmonton.
At least it was only downtown Airdrie and not Edmonton I got stuck in this time.
