Bullshit.
For one thing, Allen gets his facts wrong - O Canada was written in French, and then adapted into English. The French and English lyrics are not at all alike.
Anyhow, let 'em sing it in Hindi or any other language. It's not like it would become an official version or anything, and there is no threat to Canada in this.

Big woop. I don't care either if there's a version in every Language/Dialect on the Planet. It's just not a big deal whatsoever. The whole Planet is already learning English, so will the Immigrants in English Canada.

I suppose you have no objections to immigrants who we have so graciously opened our door to, start trying to change tradition. What happened, did you forget about the new recruit in the RCMP. The lady at the airport who would not wear supplied uniforms but insisted in wearing her tribal clothing. Yea let them come and change everything our forefathers put their blood ,sweat and tears into, to build a wonderful safe and prosperous country for YOU to live in. Give it all away and then complain. That's the Canadian way.

They can sing whatever the hell they want but the official version remains and I'd proudly shout down any asshole who sings anything except the official version.

Immigrants come and, yes, have an influence, but I think it's been a good influence. No need to get all worked up into a terrified froth that the sky is falling.
Allen is just pandering to his audience for ratings, and manipulating their emotions to do it.
