Bullshit.

For one thing, Allen gets his facts wrong - O Canada was written in French, and then adapted into English. The French and English lyrics are not at all alike.

Anyhow, let 'em sing it in Hindi or any other language. It's not like it would become an official version or anything, and there is no threat to Canada in this.

Big woop. I don't care either if there's a version in every Language/Dialect on the Planet. It's just not a big deal whatsoever. The whole Planet is already learning English, so will the Immigrants in English Canada.

I suppose you have no objections to immigrants who we have so graciously opened our door to, start trying to change tradition. What happened, did you forget about the new recruit in the RCMP. The lady at the airport who would not wear supplied uniforms but insisted in wearing her tribal clothing. Yea let them come and change everything our forefathers put their blood ,sweat and tears into, to build a wonderful safe and prosperous country for YOU to live in. Give it all away and then complain. That's the Canadian way.

They can sing whatever the hell they want but the official version remains and I'd proudly shout down any asshole who sings anything except the official version.

Huh? So, did this woman get her way? I'll just assume not and that your point is lost.

Immigrants come and, yes, have an influence, but I think it's been a good influence. No need to get all worked up into a terrified froth that the sky is falling.

Allen is just pandering to his audience for ratings, and manipulating their emotions to do it.

No roads for a few thousand miles,a guy has to communicate and pay his bills.

six months ago I would tell the noobs it was a modern camp, they have wireless, but you have to shit in a pail.
We still have wireless and a new router that no ones figured out yet, plus new shitters that cook your shit, incinolaters. 8O But still as remote as it go's,amazes me I'm posting from here. Our sat link is also a direct line to Vancouver so I can phone anyone in Van and it,s a local call. go figure. Free call to Vancouver from 50 miles south of the arctic circle.
