My husband flies Air Ambulance and they cover three Provinces and it has been a very busy week-end. Car Accidents and Bomb Fires burns seem to be the norm on May 24 week-end.

When I lived in NFL the locals camped in Gravel Pits, burr, no thanks.

Did I mention it's also grad weekend?

I hear ya on the bonfires, even with a full fireban the party fires have flames about 4 meters tall, they gave out lots of summons for open fires, not good seeing how the lost creek forest fire a few years ago had most of the town evacuated and most of our back country burnt to a crisp. You get 500 grads around a huge bonfire though and the cops and wildlife officers have their hands full. Im kinda wondering about the ford bronco someone parked in my driveway on friday, couple kids got out and headed off to what I think is to climb bluff mountain which is on my doorstep, they havent come back yet so I'm getting a bit worried.

So your hubby flies for Stars?

Nope Ziggy, Stars only exists in Ontario (I think?). For the rest of Canada is it usually Private Operators via contracts with the Provinces. He works for CHL, Canadian Helicopters Logistics.

I forgot this is Grad Week, yikes that could up the injured needing flights.

Ziggy you poor sod, who would want to claim a Ford Bronco get rid of it before you property is de-valued.

That's the point, that old rust bucket is bringing it down,I gotta wonder about the kids that went up that mountain though,it can be very unforgiving and she's pretty much straight up and down, mostly cliffs.

Was that at lynx creek and did it snow? or were you at knowles flats?

Man it's nuts here, they had to call in extra cops to deal with the mayhem and now with everyone trying to get back to Calgary my scanner is going non stop.Accident after accident in the big rush to get back home.I just did the 2 mile drive to town and saw a trailer lose a wheel and hit a ford head on and a biker vs car within 5 minutes. just nuts

That's Calgary driving for you. Just had a bad thunder storm with lots of heavy rains....I can just imagine the number of accidents that occured after this!

I live in the SW - inner city and all we've had today was about 15 mins of sprinkles. Not enough to water the lawn! So far, only saw STARS pass over my house once today so either everyone's dead on scene or injuries aren't life threatening. Hoping it's neither but it is the mad rush Monday of a long weekend.
