A friend of mine has been a parapeligic for 12 years after a doctor mis-diagnosed his back pain as a slipped disk. The unfortunate part is not that he can't walk - it's that the only sensation he feels below the waist is pain (I'm not trying to be funny with that one

). He had spasms large enough to throw him from his chair and couldn't eat properly because the meds made him sick. The pain aged him 10 years in two.
After trying morphine, opium suppositories and everything else the doctors could think of, they finally told him to start smoking pot. For the first time in 12 years he can eat without being nauseous and live with (relatively) no pain. His muscles in his legs relax enough to stop the spasms. He's now a card carrying, legally allowed pot-head.
Any natural substance that can make that big a difference in someones life can't be that bad. Sure it can screw some people up - I've seen it myself. But my mantra is "everything in moderation".
Let's all twist one up order an XXL pizza and laugh at our troubles.
