Has anyone heard about the merger of these two beer companies \? I guess that we won't see anymore Molson "I am Canadian" comercials because they are nop longer Canadian. I wouldn't have much of a problem if it were say Labbat because their image is not of being Canadian.

I read that Coors bought some Canadian beer company. I don't see any problem with that. What's with you Canadians and your need to be identified as such. I guess you have a point though. All I think of when I think of Canada is Beer and Hockey. Kind of sad really.

Well first, its a possible merger and if that is all you think when you think about Canada, you don't know much about Canada. We have Moose, snowmobiles, Great beer, hot woman that will keep ya warm on the coldest winter night, skiing in July, we grow great dope in the mountains of British Columbia and second only to Russia in the number of time zones in one country. What else do ya wanna think about?

they did buy molson. I am in a way happy about that because i live in colorado now, and molson caanadian is one of the only beers i like. I am not happy in the aspect that it will possibly not have the same taste to it. i also hope the canadian commerical still happen.. i doubt. i still catch them on the web, they're just about the funniest commericals out there, usually.

Its an equal partnership. NOT a buy outl.

If you read the paper or watch the news you would know that.

It was a merger between two companies that are both loosing market share. As mass-market beer goes in their respective countries neither makes a bad product. It's a kind of lowest common denominator thing, but neither beer is bad, just not as good as what micro-breweries come up with. Chevies aren't as nice as Ferraris either. The difference is that when it comes to beer we can all afford to make the choice.

This is really a non-event. It likely won't happen because of quibbling in the Molson family. It almost certainly won't cause Molson to move its headquarters south because of Canadian pension fund investment rules. Molson had foreign interests long before the merger with Coors and had been licensing Coors products for a couple of decades.

Sit back and have a beer people. I recommend Fort Garry Dark Ale or Great Western Gold. Wonderful beers.

I haven't found a honey ale I like enough to buy regularly yet. I like Sleeman's honey brown lager though. I'll have to see if I can find some of the Okanagan Springs stuff. We seem to have a better selection of beer from Europe than from other provinces.

Well, i'm a Coors Lite drinker, have been for a long time. I don't know how Molson taste, never tried it. If I tire of Coor's i'll find something else.

As far as the merger, as long as the beer taste the same after the meger, then who cares. Two companies needed one another to keep afloat and as long as the float we drink, so float on!
