Well, this thread has been the biggest load of Ka-Ka I've seen for many years.
Who the hell are you, Dyane Adam?

Third eye will be surprised to learn that Quebec City has two(2) unilingual English High schools (St. Pats and Quebec High), and has had these two high schools for many a year. I have attended a few ceremonies there and the place was packed with English speaking people!
Apparently the fascist policys that third-eye speaks of are no where near
as effective as third-eye would have us beleive.
Not surprised at all. Especially since I never said that there aren't
any English schools in Quebec. The fact is, you can only send your child to an English school in Quebec if at least one of the parents was also educated at an English school there. Too bad, so sad for any who moves there now. Besides, I have four French schools near me, in just one small section of Ottawa, with very few french people in the area, and your bragging that the whole of Quebec city has a whopping two English schools?

He says that the poor down-trodden ignorant francophone is denied access to English language instruction: Bullshit!
Each and every kid in Francophone schools from grade 1 on up MUST take
English. Hell, even the poor Anglophone kids at the English schools MUST take English....some bunch of loser fascists third-eye is worried sick about.
You make absolutely no sense at all. Do you always warp and twist things that others say so much?

All the blatant lies and half-truths really bug my ass.
There have been no lies or half truths. I simply try to point out the double standards that exist in Canada to appease Quebec. If this bugs you, it is likely because you are a cheerleader for the frenchification of Canada, in which case I am happy to bug you.

NAPOLEONIC CODE? Wherever did you get that idea? Please do actually do a little homework. Quebec's Civil Law is NOT the Napoleonic Code - Thats just as stupid as saying British Common Law is the Code of Hammurabi
When you are done taking your foot out of your mouth, you can read this:
Québec's Civil CodePay attention to this passage:
Quote:
The first Civil Code was approved in 1866 and was greatly inspired by the contents of the codification that occurred in France and which had become known by the name of the French Emperor that had requested it, the Code Napoléon.
Perhaps if you had done
your homework, you would have found similar information with a simple Google search.

Unable to have a trial in English in Quebec? Well, theres no guarantee of it - but you are certainly guaranteed an interpreter. Please indicate any case where an English-only speaking person was tried without at the very least - an interpreter....it was good enough for Riel.
Whoops! Better put that foot back in your mouth.

That is just the blatant BS. I have serious doubts about the rest of his assertions as a result.
That's swell, but who's going to take you seriously when I just shot down everything you said?
